Registrations are now open to take part in Mission X’s Walk to the Moon Challenge 2022-23. During the challenge, your team will complete hands-on classroom activities, that have been developed with space scientists and fitness professionals working with astronauts and space agencies across the world.

Teams can test their strength, endurance, coordination, balance, spatial awareness, and more with the Mission X physical activities. While the Mission X science activities will help teams learn how to keep the human body healthy and strong. Both sets of activities are designed for ages 8-12 but can easily be adapted for other age groups and skill levels. 

Starting 16 January, the 2022-23 Walk to the Moon Challenge will begin and the online Step Calculator will open.  Teams can then begin submitting their completed activities to earn steps for their country - steps submitted by all the participating teams help the Mission X mascots, Luna and Leo, walk 384 400km – the distance from Earth to the Moon! All teams will receive a participation certificate at the end of the challenge. 

Mission X is a collaboration between ESA and the UK Space Agency, facilitated by the ESERO network and National Organisers.
