ESEO, the European Student Earth Orbiter, will launch into Earth orbit on a rideshare flight from California, US, on 19 November 2018.
ESEO is an educational mission by the European Space Agency. It is meant for European university student teams to acquire direct hands-on experience of a real-space project throughout all its phases, under the mentorship of professional space experts.
For ESEO, ESA teamed up with an industrial contractor, SITAEL, Italy, to build the satellite platform and coordinate the technical development of the instrumentation, subsystems and ground stations built by the students for the mission.
ESA, in collaboration with SITAEL and the University of Bologna, Italy, is pleased to invite you to the ESEO launch event on 19 November, by the premises of the University of Bologna in Forlì, Italy.
Representatives from ESA, SITAEL and the ten universities teams involved in ESEO will present the mission, its objectives and the remarkable achievements by the students to date, and watch live the video streaming of the launch from the US.
