The project
The propulsion system liquid feed (PSLF) team designs the main chemical propulsion system for ESMO. This system will be used to transfer the spacecraft from geostationary transfer orbit to the required lunar orbit, taking in account navigation manoeuvres, gravity losses, transfer variations, error correction and contingency.
The PSLF design incorporates flight spares for propellant tanks and thrusters. Additional flight spare components will be used where possible.
