About facilities
The Optics section in ESA works in close cooperation with our sister Opto-Electronics section to ensure we seamlessly cover all the necessary specializations to enable the development of the very complex and high performance space optical payloads demanded by our member states.
A very important part of this cooperation are our laboratory facilities which are collocated at ESTEC and combined under the organizational umbrella of the Optics and Opto-Electronics Laboratories (or OOEL for short).
