Climate diagrammes

Climate Diagramme

Download and print the climate diagrammes (PDF)

Climate diagrammes describe the predominant climate at a well-defined position. They show the average precipitation and temperature during the year.

It is thus possible to allocate the diagrammes to the climate zones and the data acquisition location. Print the PDF file providing the climate diagrammes and fill in the temperature line and the precipitation bars (or use the ready-made diagrammes found below).

After this, assign the diagrammes to each of the given data acquisition locations.

Data acquisition locations:

Hotan
Jodhpur
Kathmandu
Lhasa
Cherrapunji

Assign the above locations to the relevant climate diagramme and write down the climate zone, latitude and longitude, as well as the elevation.

Download and print ready-made diagrammes

Describe the diagrammes and explain the differences in average temperature and precipitation.

Identify possible reasons for the differences.

Explain why you assigned the data acquisition locations provided to the diagrammes in the way you did.

Do the climate diagrammes correspond to the climate zone for the particular place?
