National activities

National Steering Committees in 25 participating countries play a key role in laying the groundwork for Science on Stage. These groups of highly-motivated teachers create national websites that form the hub of a network; they promote the overall project and select the best projects of teachers to represent the country at the international festival.

In many cases, these committees organise a national festival or arrange competitions, conferences, workshops and exhibitions. These activities will raise awareness of best practices in science teaching and identify exceptional teaching projects and outstanding educators in each country. The national selection process ensures high-quality participation and a superior level of projects represented at the international festival.
