Harry Holt

I'm a Research Fellow in Advanced Mission Analysis at ESA's Advanced Concepts Team (ACT).

Before joining this team, I was a PostDoc for two years in the Astrodynamics group at the University of Auckland. I obtained my PhD in Astrodynamics at the University of Surrey in 2022, and hold Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Natural Sciences (Physics) from the University of Cambridge.

My research activities centre around the utilisation of Reinforcement Learning (RL) for spacecraft trajectory design and guidance. I'm particularly interested in the stability properties of such systems, and have used RL to enhance classical control techniques such as Control Lyapunov Functions (CLFs) whilst retaining their stability guarantees. It will be very exciting to extend and generalise these whilst here at the ACT.

In my spare time, I'm an avid sports player and fan. I enjoy watching football and cricket, and have spent many hours playing sports such as football, table tennis, skiing, and climbing to name a few.
