Loïc Azzalini

As a Young Graduate Trainee in Computational Neuroscience, I am excited to work at the intersection of robotics and neuroscience within the ACT.

I obtained a BASc in Mechatronics Engineering from the University of Waterloo and an MASc in Aerospace Science & Engineering from the University of Toronto. During my masters, I had the opportunity to collaborate with computational neuroscientists on the application of optimal control theory and state estimation to neuronal dynamics in the context of deep brain stimulation. Having ventured out of my parent discipline, I am eager for the return journey with the ACT, this time drawing inspiration from neuroscience to explore novel research avenues for space!

Outside of research, I am often busy exploring the outdoors, on foot or by bike. In my spare time, I also enjoy a good book, including those that have been adapted into film.

I am looking forward to taking part in the multidisciplinary opportunities offered by the ACT and its collaborators. Feel free to reach me at tni.ase@inilazza.ciol.
