Miguel Callejon Cantero

Hi everyone! I am a MSc Aerospace Engineering student at Delft University of Technology (TUDelft), after finishing my bachelor at Technical University of Madrid (UPM). Very interested in space from both a scientific and technologic point of view, and thus studying the Space Exploration profile. In the Advanced Concepts Team (ACT), I am a stagiare working on different optimization challenges.

I am working on the web platform optimize, creating different single and multi objective optimization problems with ranging difficulties. With this website, the ACT wants to reach out to the scientific community and provide them with challenging tasks. Currently, two problems have been set: a inter-planetary trajectory optimization to Jupiter, variation of JUICE (see pykep gym), and a variant of the Traveling Salesman Problem, applied to Active Debris Removal as previously done by the ACT.

The incredible experience to work for this team has been shadowed by corona, as most of the internship has been remote, and only in the last month I will meet the team in person! Besides my academic interests, in my free time I enjoy playing video games, as well as listening to music and playing piano.
