Presentations at the Global Space Economic Workshop on Space Cybersecurity for Mobility on 24 May 2018 in Brindisi, Italy, are available in the links below.

The event was organised by the Aerospace Technological District of Apulia (DTA), a public–private consortium of aerospace industries, regional universities, and public and private research centres of Puglia. The Italian Space Agency (ASI) also supported this initiative.

Giuseppe Acierno, President of DTA opened the event. This was followed by panel discussions involving Eric Morel de Westgaver, ESA’s Director of Industry, Procurement and Legal Services, and Roberto Battiston, President of the Italian Space Agency (ASI) with moderator Paolo Messa, Journalist & Founder, Le Formiche.

Speakers in the second part of the institutional panel incuded Ezio Bussoletti, Senior advisor of Space Sector, Italian Ministry of Infrastructure, and Georgios Synnefakis, Head of Greek Delegation in ESA and Head of the Directorate of Satellite Services & Space Applications, Hellenic Ministry of Digital Policy, Telecommunications & Media.

During the morning session two industrial panels discussed the protection of the automotive, railways, aviation and maritime domains with respect to demand and supply in these sectors.

Several keynote speakers gave their points of view on this, including Carlo Des Dorides, Director GSA, and Gen. D. Mauro d’Ubaldi, Industrial and International Policy, Italian Ministry of Defence.

Finally, Simonetta di Pippo, Director at UNOOSA, presented the impact of space on SDGs, and ESA Astronaut Jean Francois Clervoy joined others, to inspire participants with TED-like talks.
