ESA is seeking to provide support to startups in their valuable role in the space industrial ecosystem. ESA’s Startup competition offers the winning entrepreneurs a mentoring prize and an invitation from ESA to attend an award ceremony at the Global Space Congress, scheduled to take place in Abu Dhabi in May 2021.
Now the top 10 startups have been chosen, the next step will be the selection of the top three. This will be performed by the Member State delegates of ESA’s Industrial Policy Committee, scheduled for 29 June to 1 July.
Following this final selection, the top three startups will be invited to present themselves during the opening session of the virtual ESA Industry Space Days on 16 September. During this two day virtual event, the top three winners will have the chance to make virtual appointments with industrial and space agency representatives.
Finally the top three winners will receive expert advice through a mentoring grant and the chance to promote their ideas during next year’s Global Space Congress event.
