The sixth ESA ISS Awards ceremony will be held on 11 May at 16:00 in ESTEC’s Erasmus Centre. Once again, the event will celebrate the expertise, professionalism and dedication of the people working as part of Europe’s involvement in the International Space Station programme. This year’s edition will acknowledge the work of those who supported operations during increments 41 to 44, including the ATV-5 mission.

Mission managers Alexander Nitsch and Roland Luettgens will present the nominees. The winners will take home a trophy that is a piece of ESA’s history – a bronze casting of astronaut Hans Schlegel’s Extra Vehicular Activity glove, used for the installation of the Columbus module on the Space Station in 2008. It symbolises the handshake of trust between the crew and those who made the missions a success.
