Want to know what it’s like to be an ESA Young Graduate Trainee? We’ve interviewed 13 YGTs from various ESA programmes and establishments to get an insight into the kind of work they are doing and to hear about their YGT experience so far. Nicole Majska
Born and raised in Slovakia, Nicole completed her Master’s degree at University College London (UCL) in Computer Science, specialising in Virtual Reality. She is now a YGT working on the Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality Project development. Read her interview here.
Olivier Finiel
Olivier is an engineer and graduated in 2018 from an advanced Master in Space System Engineering at ISAE-SUPAÉRO. He is now a Young Graduate Trainee in the LSA (Launch System Architect) department of the Space Transportation Directorate at ESA. Read his interview here.
Vidushi Jain
Vidushi finished her undergraduate and graduate studies in Canada and moved to Germany for her YGT placement. At ESA, she is a YGT in the SMILE lab at ESOC. Read her interview here.
Domitille Callieu
Domitille is French and graduated from Emlyon Business School (France) with an MSc in Management. Today, she is a Young Graduate Trainee for Corporate Controlling at ESA. Read her interview here.
Xanthi Oikonomidou
Xanthi is a YGT at the Space Debris Office at ESOC/ESA in Darmstadt, Germany. She obtained her Master’s degree in Rural and Surveying Engineering with a specialisation in Satellite Geodesy from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH). Read her interview here.
Romain Fonteyne
Romain is a French aerospace and systems engineer who graduated from the Institut Polytechnique des Sciences Avancées (IPSA, France) and Politecnico di Torino (POLITO, Italy). He is now a YGT working on ExoMars Rover Operations Preparation. Read his interview here.
