The Institute of Law at Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech) is the National Point of Contact (NPoC) of the ECSL in Estonia.
The Institute of Law, School of Business and Governance, Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech), has conducted different space law related activities for several years. This has included space law as a part of different courses, students writing Bachelor and Master theses on space law as well as our faculty taking an active part in space related activities both within the university – where a satellite is in the process of preparation – and outside, including as judges in the Manfred Lachs Space Law Moot Court as well as in contacts with Estonian authorities and politicians on space law related matters. The TalTech Institute of Law hosted one day of the ECSL summer course 2018 in Tallinn.
Our contact person is Adjunct Professor Katrin Nyman Metcalf, who is a well-known space law expert. She was the Chair of the ESA International Relations Committee from 2019 to 2021.
