Sunday’s ESA Open Day at ESTEC: updates
Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond his and our control, ESA astronaut Thomas Reiter has had to cancel his attendance at the ESA Open Day at ESTEC this Sunday. ESA astronaut André Kuipers and Reserve astronaut John McFall will still be attending.
Here are some extra activities didn’t make it into our printed programme brochure:
●Find out all about humankind’s next crewed space outpost: the Gateway, which will orbit around the Moon. Hear directly from Mark Wagner, managing the realisation of ESA’s Lunar Gateway modules I-Hab and ERM at 10:30, 13:30 and 15:30 in the Erasmus auditorium. Includes a brand new VR tour of the I-Hab!
●Space Graffiti: As part of our Navigation Hub: A Hitchhikers Guide from Space to Earth exhibit focused on satellite navigation, take your chance to use a satnav receiver to guide your ‘drawing’ of an ESA logo on the ground, to see just how accurate you – and Galileo – can be! All day at the Escape parking lot
