Following its debut in Barcelona, the Our Ocean from Space exhibition has recently arrived at the Milano Congress Centre (MiCo) for the 75th International Astronautical Congress (IAC).

A UNESCO and ESA co-production, Our Ocean from Space takes visitors on a visual journey into Earth’s marine ecosystems, covering a range of scientific topics including changes to Arctic sea ice, ocean warming, rising sea levels, the role of sea salinity and ocean currents, and the consequences of climate change on coral reefs and biodiversity. Using Earth observation satellite images, augmented reality, and interviews with experts, local decision-makers, and coastal inhabitants, the exhibition also explores current efforts to protect the fragile beauty of our marine ecosystems.

The opening of Our Ocean from Space is part of an exciting lineup of activities that will take place around the week of the 75th International Astronautical Congress (IAC 2024), to be held from 14 to 18 October 2024.

Next stops for this travelling exhibition will be Paris, Athens, Bari and Toulouse (exact dates to be confirmed).
