Cassini Propulsion Module Subsystem

The propulsion module subsystem for Cassini holds the oxidiser and fuel tanks, a main engine and duplicate backup main engine. When Cassini reaches Saturn, the main engine will fire for about 90 min to brake the spacecraft into orbit around the planet. Shown is the Proto Flight Model at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
