Glueing acceleration sensors onto the rear side of Huygens' carbon fibre front shield structure. The sensors confirmed the correct level of vibration during test, corresponding to the expected launch environment. The outer part of the rear face is coated with a 2 mm.-thick layer of thermal insulation (Prosial) to protect the structure from the heat impinging, even on the rear side, during the Titan atmosphere entry. A back cover, inside which is the Descent Module itself, protects the central portion. [Image Date: 01-01-97] [97.05.006-007]
