Meteosat scanning radiometer

Meteosat's single Earth-observing instrument is the imaging radiometer. Developed by ESA and since 1995 operated by EUMETSAT, Meteosat has been routinely returning Earth imagery from geostationary orbit since 1977. [Image Date: 1976] [76.02.594-003]
