A small-scale TransHab inflatable test unit is lowered into the NASA Johnson Space Center Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory pool in Houston. The 7m-diameter unit was used to check the fabric and its attachment to a metallic core. TransHab is an innovative module proposed for the International Space Station as a technology demonstration for future spacecraft (such as manned Mars missions), while also providing a large-volume Station habitation module.
