Forest fires near Rome

In the first week of July, 2000, the Castel Fusano pinewoods, located south of Rome, burnt for reasons which are still unknown. The image below, acquired on Friday 7 July by Landsat 5 Satellite (Track 191 Frame 31), shows the burnt area after the fire.
