Eddington Exoplanet artist view

After 2008, the European Space Agency (ESA) will make Eddington's wish come true. It will launch a mission named after the famous scientist to look inside stars. It will determine the precise chemical composition of the stars and, in some cases, the size of the energy-generating heart. This will enable astronomers to age the stars accurately for the first time.
