Thomas Reiter departing for the Euromir 95 mission

On the ESA/Russian Euromir 95 mission to the Mir space station, Reiter was assigned as flight engineer for the record-breaking 179-day mission (3 Sept 1995 to 29 Feb 1996) along with Russian colleagues Yuri Gidzenko and Sergei Avdeev.
