Helicopter in horizontal flight

For horizontal flight the helicopter must be tipped forward. In order to keep the helicopter from sinking (FA must correspond to FG), a somewhat higher thrust FS is needed. The forward thrust FV must be greater than the air resistance FW , in order that the helicopter move forward. The helicopter BO 105 Cis used By DLR in Braunschweig in tests for flight guidance, flight mechanics and aerodynamic design.
