SMART-1 logo on the launcher fairing

On 22 September 2003, the Ariane-5 V162 launcher was completed. All three satellites and the fairings were installed on the upper part of the launcher. Pictured beside the launcher is Pär Andersson of Saab Ericsson Space.

The SMART-1 logo is displayed on the fairing.
