Stereoscopic image of Tropical Storm Jeanne

Stereoscopic image of Tropical Storm Jeanne, acquired by Envisat's Advanced Along Track Scanning Radiometer (AATSR) on 20 September 2004. AATSR’s dual-view radiometer design provides stereoscopic images of cloud tops and interior structure along the spacecraft track. Accordingly the image is presented here oriented so that the top corresponds to the west instead of north. To see the effect, wear a pair of red-blue 3-D glasses with the blue side over your right eye.
