ASIM equipment on CEPA

The Atmosphere–Space Interactions Monitor, or ASIM, will be installed outside the European space laboratory Columbus to monitor electric events at high altitudes. 

The ASIM instruments will be accommodated on a Columbus External Payload Adapter (CEPA) providing an interface to Columbus power and data management.

The CEPA also provides the interface to the carrier to transport ASIM from Earth to the International Space Station.
