The densely populated coastal city of Naples (Italy) and its gulf, seen from Proba's High Resolution Camera (HRC) on 19 February 2003.
The Project for On-Board Autonomy (Proba) is a technology demonstration mission of the European Space Agency. HRC is a miniaturised Cassegrain telescope imaging 25 sq km black and white scenes using the target point and store capability of the spacecraft.
