Kazakhstan and the Caspian Sea as seen by Envisat

The south-western area of the Republic of Kazakhstan is captured in this Envisat image, which highlights the south-western province of Mangistau and the Caspian Sea. This image was acquired by the Medium Resolution Imaging Spectrometer (MERIS) on 6 August 2005.
