Multi-Purpose Logistics Module Leonardo inside Discovery's payload bay

At Launch Pad 39B, a technician stands by for the closing of Space Shuttle Discovery's payload bay doors for launch. Seen inside is the Italian-built Multi-Purpose Logistics Module (MPLM) Leonardo, at bottom, and the integrated cargo carrier above it. Discovery is scheduled to launch on mission STS-121 on July 1 carrying a crew of seven on the 12-day mission to the International Space Station.
