Expedition 14 and the newly arrived STS-116 crew inside the ISS. Space Shuttle Discovery docked with the International Space Station at 11:12 CET on 11 December 2006. Nearly two hours later at 00:54 CET, the hatches between the two spacecraft were opened and the Shuttle crew welcomed on board by the resident ISS crew. The arrival of the STS-116 crew marks the first time two ESA astronauts have been on board the ISS - ESA's Christer Fuglesang was one of the seven astronauts to arrive on board Discovery, whilst Thomas Reiter has been a resident since his arrival in July.
