Ariane 5 ECA V177 waits on the launch pad

The Ariane 5 ECA for the V177 launch waits on the pad in Launch Zone Three at Europe's Spaceport in Kourou, French Guiana, on 13 August 2007.

The launcher is carrying SPACEWAY 3, which will deliver broadband services throughout North America, and BSAT-3a, which will provide direct television links for Japan.
