Jules Verne ATV fuelling operations get underway at Europe's Spaceport in Kourou, French Guiana. The 20-tonne Jules Verne ATV, which is the largest European spacecraft ever launched, is fuelled with a record of four different propellants. The total propellant mass represents also a record of about 6.5 tonnes. Astrium teams with the assistance of ESA and Russian experts are working two to three eight-hour shifts to conduct these high risk operations.
