Heat map of Amsterdam

The heat loss from buildings in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Dutch start-up company Miramap has developed a ‘roof scan’ sensor for mapping energy loss through buildings using airborne thermal infrared surveys. The sensor is a development of the company’s soil moisture instrument based on technology from space research. Its development was supported by ESA’s Business Incubation Centre at ESTEC in the Netherlands.
