Space Shuttle Discovery on the launch pad

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. – Space Shuttle Discovery on the launch pad after the Rotating Service Structure retraction. Discovery is being prepared for launch to the International Space Station on the STS-128 mission on 25 August 2009, at 07:36 CEST. Discovery will deliver new equipment to the Station, including science and storage racks, a freezer to store research samples, a new sleeping compartment and the COLBERT treadmill.
