Path of lava flow

The loss of coherence observed by the Advanced Synthetic Aperture Radar (ASAR) instrument on ESA’s Envisat between images acquired on 8 January 2010 and on 7 December 2009 allowed the GORISK team to detect one of the paths of the lava flows following the eruption of Mount Nyamuragira on 2 January 2010 in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
