Dr Thomas Heege and his team from the German company EOMAP GmbH won the ESA App Challenge Prize at the GMES Masters Competition 2011 with their user-friendly app 'AquaMap'. The app provides near-realtime water quality information to private users, such as scuba divers and seaside tourists, and professional offshore companies.
