Future SSA radar system - artist's impression

In order to undertake the surveillance of fast-moving orbital objects in Low Earth Orbit (LEO), advanced radar systems are being developed. For this, research and development is being carried out on critical technologies such as phased array radar systems (shown here in an artist's impression), power control, low-noise amplifiers, beam forming and discrimination algorithms.
