ASIRAS data

The plot shows preliminary processing of the ASIRAS data from a short 2 km section across Law Dome, Antarctica. Strong layering as a result of seasonal changes in snow accumulation is clearly visible down to about 20 m. In combination with snow pit and firn-core data, scientists can determine the spatial variability of the accumulation rate.
