Satellite data for irrigation
As part of ESA’s TIGER initiative, scientists in Morocco exploited data from the French space agency’s SPOT-4 satellite to map the water needs of crops in the agricultural region of Doukkala in November 2005. This information optimises the amount of water needed for irrigation.
