The grand opening of Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd's new Kepler Building for satellite integration in Guildford, Surrey on 25 January 2012.
A ceremonial plaque was unveiled by (seen from left to right) SSTL Chief Executive Officer Matt Perkins; UK Universities and Science Minister David Willetts MP; SSTL founder and Executive Chairman Sir Martin Sweeting and ESA Director General Jean-Jacques Dordain.
Sir Martin Sweeting took his guests on a tour of a facility, together with other visitors including ESA's Director of Technical and Quality Management Franco Ongaro, Head of ESA's Harwell Centre Martin Ditter and Director General of the UK Space Agency David Williams.
The state-of-the-art Kepler Building includes a secure area devoted to integrating navigation payloads for the first 14 Galileo Full Operational Capability satellites.
