The Satellite-Based Augmentation Systems (SBAS) Interoperability Working Group (IWG) was hosted by the German Aerospace Center, DLR, at Oberpfaffenhofen near Munich in southern Germany, on 17–18 January 2012. The meeting was co-chaired by The meeting was co-chaired by Didier Flament (ESA – EGNOS Programme manager) and Deane Bunce (US WAAS Programme Manager).
The meeting had 30 attendees, including representatives of Russia’s Roscosmos space agency attending for the first time. additional partners including Eurocontrol – the European Organisation for the Safety of Air Navigation, promoting the adoaptation of EGNOS across Europe – ESSP, Stanford University and the US MITRE organisation performing research and development for the FAA.
