Sunrise from the ISS

Sunrise on New Year’s day 2012 taken from the International Space Station by ESA astronaut André Kuipers. The crew on the Station see many sunrises each day as it orbits Earth every 90 minutes. André was in space as part of ESA’s long-duration PromISSe mission.
