ATV Edoardo Amaldi fairing integration

Loading ESA's cargo ferry ATV Edoardo Amaldi on the Ariane 5 rocket that will launch it to the International Space Station in 2012.

Here the Ariane rocket cone, or fairing, is being lowered over the Automated Transfer Vehicle.

ATV-3 will carry several tons of fuels and propellants, as well as food and equipment, to the International Space Station.

The launch will take place at Europe's Spaceport in Kourou, French Guiana.
