ESA and EUMETSAT signed the agreement on the Meteosat Third Generation (MTG) weather satellite system at the ESA Ministerial Council in Naples, Italy on 21 November 2012.
The agreement was signed by Jean-Jacques Dordain (left), Director General of ESA, and Alain Ratier, Director General of EUMETSAT. This agreement determines the principles of cooperation between the two agencies when establishing the various components of the MTG system, and while carrying out any related activities.
