Proba-V: small but powerful satellite

Technological progress means more can be done with
less: also for launch in 2013, the Proba-V microsatellite’s main instrument will track daily vegetation growth worldwide. Proba-V will also perform experimental monitoring of aircraft traffic, measuring space radiation and test a new transmitter based on gallium nitride, the most promising semiconductor since silicon – all from a single desk-sized satellite.
