Alphasat prepared for shipment

Alphasat, the largest European-built telecommunications satellite, is packaged and placed into the Antonov plane by crane at Toulouse airport, ready for shipment to launch site Kourou, French Guiana. The fully-loaded container weighs 20 tonnes, and was transported from Astrium's Intespace facilities to Toulouse, where it will be flown to Cayenne airport.
