Simulated Sentinel-1 image

This image of Lancaster Sound in the Canadian Arctic was acquired by Canada’s Radarsat-2 to show the kind of images we can expect from Europe’s Sentinel-1 satellite. Radarsat-2 was reprogrammed specifically for the task of simulating the way Sentinel-1 will image Earth in its scanning mode called TOPS.
