Columbus during spacewalk

ESA's Columbus space laboratory taken by ESA astronaut Alexander Gerst during his spacewalk 7 October 2014.

Alexander Tweeted the image with the text: "Isn't she a beauty? ESA's Columbus module with the newly installed RapidScat."

NASA's RapidScat module is visible on the right and monitors ocean winds for weather predictions, including hurricane monitoring.

The International Space Station is a collaboration between five space agencies, sharing resources and time to run out-of-this-world experiments.
