An easy-to-transport QUIB (Quick Installation Basement) unit was designed and built by NHAZCA for the quick installation (about two hours) of a Terrestrial SAR Interferometric (TInSAR) platform for analysing ground deformation.
It is particularly useful in emergency conditions and for civil protection purposes, when prompt intervention is needed, as in the case of landslides and potential deformation of large civil infrastructures such as highways and dams.
TInSAR is an advanced radar technology similar to those used on Earth observation satellites, able to determine even very small displacements.
